The iconic tennis bracelet was coined on accident by a professional tennis player named Chris Evert. Back in 1987 when Chris was serving in one of her matches, her diamond line bracelet flew off her wrist. When she stopped the match to fetch it, she explained it was very important to her because it was her “lucky tennis bracelet.” And so the name stuck and jewelers all over the world accepted it, enhanced it, and put their own creative spin on it.
