This is a timeless, classic piece by Simon G., coined the “ballerina” for its wave effect around the center blue sapphire stone. Several years back, I found this blue sapphire (with certificate) at a jewelry show with my father. The stone had so much life and deep blue color that I persuaded my father to set it aside for a special piece. When I saw this beautiful setting, I knew the sapphire had found its home. The sapphire is independently certified and weighs 1.69ctw. Simon G.’s creation contains 1.29ctw of VS-1, F-G color baguette diamonds meticulously set, side by side, in a wave. This type of setting is extremely difficult to do, and is only capable by master stoner-setters. The ring has a total weight of .31ctw matching round, brilliant-cut diamonds.
